These mini sandwiches pack big flavor in a small bite. Whether you go classic with seasoned beef or get creative with BBQ chicken or veggie patties, sliders are a hands-on favorite that make everyone feel included. Ingredients

Protein Options:

  • Ground beef or turkey, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder

  • Pulled BBQ chicken (use a top-9-free sauce like Sweet Baby Ray’s Original)

  • Chickpea patties or mash (mashed chickpeas + garlic + lemon + herbs)

Buns:

  • Allergy-friendly slider buns (check for egg/dairy/peanut-free labels - we get ours at Sam’s)

  • Gluten-free options if needed (Canyon Bakehouse, Little Northern Bakehouse)

  • Lettuce cups or mini rice cakes for bun-free sliders

Toppings:

  • Dairy-free cheese slices (Daiya is our go-to)

  • Pickles

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Tomato slices

  • Red onion

  • Vegan Mayo (Hellman’s Plant Mayo)

  • Avocado or guacamole

  • Hidden Valley Plant Ranch or other top-9-free sauces

Instructions

  1. Cook your protein:

    • For patties: shape into mini rounds and pan-fry, bake or grill until cooked through

    • For pulled chicken: warm with BBQ sauce in a skillet or slow cooker

    • For chickpea mash: mix and chill until ready to serve

  2. Toast buns (optional) for extra texture

  3. Assemble sliders with protein, cheese, and toppings

  4. Serve warm with extra sauce on the side
