About Me
Hi, I'm Elizabeth — allergy mom, content creator, and learning strategist.
I'm a mom of two—Carter (13) and Everett (6)—and like many of you, I never expected to become an allergy mom. When Everett was diagnosed, I quickly realized just how overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes isolating the allergy world can feel.
Between label reading, recipe testing, and figuring out safe swaps, I’ve learned that food doesn’t have to be complicated—or boring—to be allergy-friendly. That’s why I started Allergies Made Simple: to share the recipes, tips, and resources I wish I had when we were just starting out.
By day, I work in learning and development, helping people absorb complex information in clear, accessible ways. That passion carries over here—I want allergy families to feel empowered, not intimidated. Whether you're newly navigating food allergies or hosting loved ones who are, this space is designed to make things easier, safer, and more joyful.
I’m also gluten intolerant, so most of the recipes here are naturally gluten-free or easily adaptable. I know how important it is to feel safe at the table—whether you're managing allergies, sensitivities, or just trying to make everyone feel included.
Here you’ll find:
Easy family recipes (no dairy, eggs, or peanuts)
Honest mom tips for school, holidays, and everyday life
Encouragement to make this journey a little lighter and a lot more fun
I’m a working mom juggling real life, just like you. Everything I share is tested in my own kitchen, packed in my kids’ lunchboxes, and served at our family table.
No matter where you are on this journey—or how many hats you're wearing—you’re not alone. Welcome to the community.
